Travel tales, my happy place

Happiness is living well and doing well
Aristotle
This was written by a Greek philosopher about happiness around 2,400 years ago, and those words could as well have been written yesterday. Happiness is not something we should be reaching for, as a prize or something to aim for, but living moments that makes us happy.
In our everyday life, we should create moments that make us happy, for example, listening to music. It makes us happy because it is an addition to our lives and touches our real emotions. I am not talking about reaching happiness, for example, feeling happy after you come home from work that you dislike. It is happiness that has been gained by cancelling out the negative.
And I think that travelling is a good sort of happiness!

I have a special bond with travelling, and my spirit is a spirit of a nomad! Since I was a kid, I wanted to become a truck driver, just to see places, be happy, and get paid to do so. Well, that didn't come true; I never drove around Europe, but I did work in a travelling business for a while as a representative for a Scandinavian travel agency. Until I met my husband and moved to Canada.
I have been living in 7 countries and integrated into each country's culture as well as I could. I have a facility to learn languages, so I always try to catch some phrases in that country's language too. It makes me happy to see a person happy to know I try to talk their language and understand them, their culture.
Where do I want to travel next?
For real, all I want to do for now is to go for a trip to Italy! Then there is China that I want to see and feel one day. Maybe go to Japan. Chile seems to be a nice destination too...
Oh boy, there are places I would like to see and experience, but I know I will never be able to do it, at least now. Travelling is expensive, and since we travel most often to Finland, where my family still lives, we try to add a small road trip to our main trip. But it is expensive...!
So I went through my pictures from some of my trips and realized that I have these images and stories behind them in files! They are all in files!
These magnificent trips we did, and nobody, even us, remembers them or looks at the memories. We haven't done any books to look at (I have started many times, though), only some reels showing a few seconds of the destination, but that's it.

Travel tales
I will start writing short blog posts about some of my trips and destinations, known as travel tales. They are not full-length book stories, just reminders of the beauty of this planet, anecdotes about different cultures, or reminders of the beautiful landscapes I've seen.
